A fun invitation for Sept. 28

Sound Salmon Solutions is hosting a free Shellfish Dinner at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center in Stanwood, on Saturday, September 28th from 4-7pm! Expert speakers from Taylor Shellfish and the Pacific Shellfish Institute will speak about water quality, ocean acidification and the ecosystem services of shellfish. Students from Stanwood High School will be presenting posters on water quality. Delicious, locally sourced shellfish and produce will be prepared by Danny Pickering from the Stanwood Grill. There will be prizes from Stanwood Cupcakes, Jersey Mikes Subs, the Stanwood Grill, Ivar’s Restaurants, Misty Mountain Farm, Black Label Deserts and more! Information from Island Country Planning & Community Development (ICPD)

In response to a request from the LBCA board, Tess Cooper has sent us the PowerPoints she prepared for the August 22, 2013 meeting. These PPs will be posted on the ICPD (Shoreline) page. Keep in mind, these materials were produced by ICPD. The LBCA board is not responsible for their content. We want to thank Tess for all the information she shared and for sending these materials.

Information for October 6 meeting

There will also be a meeting prior to the annual meeting: September 28, 7:30 to 9pm at Camano Center. The meeting will consider pending community issues and will be open to all community members.

The LBCA board has prepared some FAQs in response to questions from community members: LBCA Frequently Asked Questions-9-18-2013. In future FAQs can be found in the Documents section of the website.

Additional board meeting scheduled

The LBCA Board has scheduled a board meeting for Saturday September 28 from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. The meeting will be held at the Camano Center (big blue
building) the same location where most of the LBCA meetings are held. The scheduled annual meeting will still be held on October 6.

In accordance with the Bi-Laws, the meeting is open to all Community members who wish to attend and observe.

The Board will be discussing current pending community issues.

LBCA Annual Meeting Scheduled for October 6, 2013

Our annual meeting will be held Sunday, October 6, from noon until 2:30 pm at the Camano Center (121 N. East Camano Drive). The board is finalizing the agenda and will send it out as soon as possible.

We hope as many people as possible will attend. If you can’t make the meeting, we would appreciate you signing your proxy over to someone you trust to represent you. You can use the form linked below. It includes instructions and the deadline
